Animals or Critters are entities which spawn naturally in every biome. They're neutral towards all factions.

Domesticated Critters[edit | edit source]

Domesticated critters are the province of the Shepherd, who gathers and looks after them. Areas can be designated as a pasture (Default Shortcut: Shift + P) which is only accessible after promoting a Trapper to a Shepherd. Each area can be assigned a certain type of domesticated critter. All domesticated critters can be bred if there's at least 2 of them in a pasture.

Sheep[edit | edit source]

"So fluffy!"

Sheep will spawn and follow the shepherd as they wander around the map. Hearthlings will periodically shear the sheep for wool bundles and the sheep can also be slaughtered for raw mutton.

Poyo[edit | edit source]

"Plump and tasty wild fowl"

Poyo's will spawn and follow the shepherd and come in three different colors. They will occasionally lay eggs, which will be either fertilized or unfertilized. Fertilized eggs will be left alone by the hearthlings and eventually hatch into a poyo chick, which grows into a full size poyo after a while. Unfertilized eggs will be gathered and can be used by the Cook to make various foods. Slaughtering poyo's gives poyo meat and poyo feathers, used to craft various recipes.

Rabbit[edit | edit source]

"Om nom nom"

Domesticated rabbits are similar to their wild counterparts. They will spawn and follow the shepherd and when slaughtered, they will drop rabbit pelts that can be crafted into leather.

Wild Critters[edit | edit source]

Wild critters can be found nearly anywhere on the map. The Trapper will set traps for them to catch and slaughter for food and raw materials. Wild critters will vary on the biome they are from.

Rabbits are one of the many critters that populate the plains and forest. They're tiny, fluffy, and pose no immediate threat. Rabbits are docile and inquisitive by nature. This makes them wonderful companions, and a ready source of protein.
